| It's TUESDAY! I like Tuesday...
I like spring, too. I think I'm deeming it my favorite season.
Bucky and I are going to the lake tonight to have dinner with his parents. Yippee for free and fabulous food.
I was that kid in Spanish this morning...the only one who laughed out loud at the Don Quixote cartoon we watched.
My car is dead...again. I have nothing to say about that.
It's my boss' birthday. She's 28-ish, I think. What should I get her?

| Second day on the job and me gusta mucho. I like it all, the people,
the atmosphere, the art and music...and I got about $9 in tips this
afternoon (I worked the slow hours). Ooo, and we make some really yummy
smoothies that I got to sample.
In more exciting news...I got the interview for Teach for America! :) I
was definitely getting a little anxious about it. I still have much to
do, like make up my mind, but at least I have this option available to
contemplate.
I'm also contemplating the idea of getting an internship somewhere like
Mexico or Spain for a little while. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Tonight we're having a blacklight/graffiti/toga party at the Pi Psi
house. Ought to be pretty fun, but I'm tired and have a big test and an
even bigger paper due this week, so to the library for now. Perhaps
I'll stop by and get my belly signed.

| I got a new job! At the Boiler Room (coffee shop)! Hooray! It pays a
little more than my crappy on-campus job, and I'll get more hours.
Plus, making coffee in a really cute shop is way more fun than filing.
The pledges are coming over to hang out tonight. I like them :)
Bucky says I'm a hot elven princess. yessssss. what a boyfriend!
Time for another Shermanite anecdote...oh how I love them. -- Today I
went to pay our cable bill, and when I got to Cable One the parking lot
was crammed and the line was out the door. (I was already late for
lacrosse practice and annoyed because it was about the 3rd time I've
tried to pay that effing bill). A few minutes after this crazy ho-ass
walked in, either stoned or drunk or both, and stumbled up to the front
of the line. She had 2 bags of chips and a ham sandwich she was gnawing
on messily. The lady asked her to please take her place at the back of
the line, which she complained about but then huffed to the back. After
a few minutes of watching her eat her food like a 5 year old, I heard a
lady call for those making payments to come in order
to her desk. Our said crazy ho-ass proceeded to cut in front of about 4
people. I went up to her and said "Ma'am, I was waiting to make a
payment as well." She just looked at me with crumbs and mayonaise all
over her face like I was speaking a different language, then turned
around to pay. (Argh!) I just thought, "whatever, she just has to hand
her the money and then it will be my turn." Oh no, that crazy ho-ass
didn't have her payment slip, so they had to go to the back and look
her up. Then when they told her she owed ninety something dollars, she
pulled out a wadded money order for $50 and said that was all she had.
Omg. Maybe I am just a snobby city girl, but if you can't be
responsible for yourself, you don't need freaking cable television!
The end.

| Exactly three months it's been...weird. I've been busy - you know, Timbuktu and such.
We got new baby omegas this weekend. And by babies i mean lovely
ladies. I think they're ad-or-able. All 14 of them. That's right...14!
I sent my Teach for America application in on Friday night. I'm holding my breath now. If I don't get in...well...any ideas??
Maya sounds like a cow sometimes. And she like Tostitos and candy. I like her despite her oddities.
There is this strange lack of productivity within me. I can't figure it
out. Somehow I'm busy all the time, yet I never seem to get anything
done. It's a phenomenon.

| So, all I have to say today is thank god I have an amazing family. They
can save the day just when I need it. I had a really bad week last
week, but this weekend I went home and recuperated. And I get to go
home again in about 24 hours. I know not everyone is as happy as I am
about spending time with their families over the holidays, and that
makes me sad, but even more thankful that mine is a nice one.
I had a little chat with a Teach for America recruiter today. It was
nice to be able to ask some questions to an actual person. It still
seems super-scary to me but also exciting. We shall see...
I saw Walk the Line on Saturday with my parents and it was one of the
best movies I've seen in a really long time. You must go...right now!
Other movies I want to see soon:
- Shop Girl
- Harry Potter (again...I slept through it the first time)
- THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA!!!
- Pride and Prejudice
- Elizabethtown
There are probably more...I'll let you know.
MMMM. Andrea and I are having red beans and rice for dinner. Bye!
